At times it is cute, other times it is just plain frustrating.
Mom has a habit, when talking about what to do, to stay healthy, she has a standard retort. It is:
I have never been 92 before.
For the most part, it is cute. I mean, it is like she is trying to find a right way to do things, or act, at her age. Other times, well it is frustrating, because it really isn’t about what age you are, but what common sense, should be telling you.
In some ways, I think she is trying to convey her fear of the future, or maybe not. Maybe I am looking for meanings, where there are none. Yet, I don’t know, at times when she says it, she gets this sort of far away look, as if trying to guess at what may lay ahead.
