It is very hard, to fathom how little things snowball, and become so major.
First it is the nagging for some new cream, to get rid of facial hairs for her, and then it becomes a fixation, but then my mind isn’t worrying about whether there is strand or two of facial hair, when the infection in the groin just won’t go away.
I don’t know if it was sitting in the depends all day, (despite numerous changes) or something else. Is it a reaction to the Lamisil cream or the infection mutating to something else? Hell, is it a yeast infection, or something that appears like one, but isn’t?
This is one reason why I don’t understand Physicians. I know, odds are that the symptoms for the more common ailment is correct, but then again, WHAT IF it is also for something else?
Why do Doctors, and Nurses, seem to only look at the more common causes, and not consider the possibility it is something else?
Thing is, have been using the cream now for nearly 10 days. So surely a reaction would have shown up before this, wouldn’t it? Course I don’t know, but it now has sores, and blisters forming, and that worries me. Not to mention, that it is extremely painful to the touch, or in just sitting.
DEPENDS are a great invention, and yet they create their own set of complications, for the elderly. I mean there is no ventilation really, so the heat is trapped inside, as is the moisture. Kind of makes me wonder, if it wouldn’t be better to do more laundry, than to use them, given the infection she has in the groin.
Still, these are helpful, but perhaps I have to look at some other method? Not even sure, but would Cloth Diapers be any better, and then of course, comes, how do I get her to use them without making her feel bad?
Now it is the waiting game, for the Doctor to decide what to do. And in the meantime, I have to keep calm, and not get her worried. And that is no easy task, because I wind up having to lie through my teeth, to not cause any alarm.
This kind of sucks, big time.
