BOTTOM LINE » Beacon Community Services & VIHA need to find employees who CAN ACTUALLY DO THEIR FU*KING JOB!
Charlotte has come and gone. Next time she is scheduled, shows up at the door, she will be asked to turn around, and leave.
You DO NOT make a 93 year old DO YOUR JOB FOR YOU!
YES I AM PISSED!
Charlotte left here a few minutes past 10 am, ( on site about 31 minutes ) and at about 10:30 am Mom finished her breakfast, and I had to take her to the bedroom to do a CHANGE. I had to give her a sponge bath, because gee, Miss Charlotte had MOM DO IT HERSELF.
So the infection in her groin is now on both sides. PLUS there is a scratch on the inner right thigh. Makes me wonder if she even had Mom wash that area too.
Mom washed her face, upper body. Not like she can move her arthritic hands very well, but hey Miss Charlotte was there to SUPERVISE, NOT DO ANYTHING.
No body lotion, to help keep her skin from breaking down. It helps her sensitive skin from tearing, but hey, Miss Charlotte was there to SUPERVISE, NOT ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING. ( course she did say she knew the routine, after all she had been here before. )
Dirty depends left in the container, so the bathroom smells from shit.
Bed sheet & covers pulled over a wet towel and soaker pad, because it is easier to throw them over the urine soaked towel & soaker than to change them. Course she ISN’T SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE BED, but hey, Miss Charlotte has been here before, knows the routine.
Besides, it doesn’t matter. I got loads of time to do an extra load of laundry today over the daily load I have to do.
Let’s take a 93 year old woman, shaky at best of times, and grab her cart from her hands, to turn it around, because she (Mom) had it backwards and I HAD TO TELL HER. I mean, hell, not like she could spot that difference, and besides, who needs to make sure a 93 year old is secured before taking away her support?
Most of the job here, is simple COMMON SENSE. Yet for some reason, Beacon Community Services hires people who are DEVOID OF ANY SENSE. And you know, what is worse?
VIHA ALLOWS THIS CORPORATE ENTITY TO HIRE THESE BRAINLESS, HEARTLESS, AUTOMONS.
We had a just had Reta from Beacon Community Services for several days to help my wife who had fallen and fracrured hip bones. She was a total delight. On a scale of ten, she was a twelve or more. She was completely effeciant, pleasant, and extremely aware. We adored her. Thanks Beacon.
Thanks for posting, and to be fair, BCS does have some excellent people. Mom’s regular workers, are a treat. The problem is, they aren’t all that many in number, which is really a shame. I am glad you had a good experience, but hope it stays that way.
