Things like laundry no longer are a weekly chore, but can be daily, or even more. Uncaring home support adds to that burden, which also increases one's costs for caring. It is a daily struggle, that many don't take into account.

Harpernomics is about giving tax cuts to those who can afford to spend the cash, but not about giving people living on the edge a break, even when it is to care for elderly parents. Things are a bit out of whack, when we care more for renovating our home, for adding to its value, while ignoring the need to inform people about health risks, or to give them break, in taking care of an old person.

I wonder, would they feel that way, if it was their loved one under care of a private firm? What checks and balances are in place, when Government abdicates its obligation under our National Health Plan? Do they even care, or is it just about how much money they save?
