I miss the sense of family we had, when our biggest worry was would Dad's mother call early enough so we could go out, or not. We had fun, had a sense of enjoyment that put aside the week's headaches, the stress of work. Instead we enjoyed each other, we laughed, we talked. It wasn't all doom and gloom, and thinking back, that is missing today.

It doesn't require much thinking, and doesn't tax the brain, but it does make you feel good. And I think, the older one gets, the more one needs comedy. You need something to laugh at, to feel good about. There is no doubt, it makes mom feel better. You can see it in her face, how the frowns are less rigid, the wrinkles a lit less deep. May not tax her mind, but it helps her cope, I think. It gives her a break from her thoughts.

As long as it entertains, as long as it makes her smile, then it is a good movie. Funny, how she enjoys some of the more, off the wall stuff that we've gotten. Not intentional, but hey, you can't really tell sometimes, yet she likes most of them. Now that is rather special, don't you think?
