Who Will It Be Today
That is the nightly & morning battle cry, not from me, but from a 93 year old lady, who is becoming frail. Her strength is being zapped, by the constant state of worry, of stress. She doesn’t know who will arrive to help her, in the morning.
She worries that she places too much on me, so she would rather sit in soiled undergarments, than ask me to giver her a change.
No matter how much I tell her, she refuses to interrupt, to ask. I think partly it is because she knows her condition is going to get worse, so she’s saving up, for that. She wants to spare me now, knowing that later she won’t be able to.
I have said it countless times, but this is what happens, when a company is about PROFITS, not about CARING. While the head of BCS pulls down A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR, VIHA CHAIRMEN PULLS DOWN A HALF MILLION A YEAR, YET IT IS THE PEOPLE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR, WHO PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE.
BCS needs to have its contract revoked.
VIHA needs to begin to be accountable, and hold all who enter into our homes, accountable. They NEED to step up, and actively monitor the personnel being hired, being sent to care for our Seniors.
These are our Mothers, our Fathers, surely we aren’t going to abandon them, simply because it is inconvenient, or distasteful. THEY ARE OLD, NOT DISPOSABLE.
