Today it seems the mantra is about disposable people. Seniors don't pay taxes, or work, so they simply are irrelevant to Government. For businesses like Beacon, they are merely a commodity that has a ready supply of, so why worry if you kill a few off. There are lots more to replace them with.

Unfortunately we no longer do that, thanks to the shift to the Conservatives, like the Campbell/Clark Liberals or the Harper Conservatives. We cause PAIN to our Seniors, who can least afford to pay for home support, simply because the dollar is more important than insuring these old people get the proper care, and attention.

If the car breaks down, we throw it away and buy a new one. If the stove breaks after a year, we buy a new one. We ignore the needs of our children, and when they get old, we'll just dispose of them too, like we do now with our elderly. Our Mothers, Our Fathers, are disposable, because we'd rather make money, than care for them.
