Reality is, with many old people, it snowballs into a day & night of endless upsets, shakes, tremors, and just plain fear. They worry about the smallest detail, never mind suddenly having to worry about who will show up and when. It isn't minor when they experience countless body shakes & tremors.

So, uh makes more sense to pay to cover meds that will prevent worsening conditions, than not. Course, when did our Government use common sense?

Does it work for us, the taxpayer, or private firms that they hire to perform services? Is it about the care they offer, or the money? I tend to think we have lost sight of what health care is about, which is to provide assistance, to those who need it, not to make some fat cat, richer, or some corporate entity have bigger profits.

It no longer seems to be about looking after sick people, but about being a source of making big bucks, for doing as little as possible. Oh, sure you need a good education, skills, but what about a personal committment to the job? What about simple, caring? Yes, many do but the system seems geared to make that nearly impossible to accomplish. As well, the rancor over pay seems to always take precedence over the needs of the patient. It has become a cash cow for many, and as a result, we suffer. It is like, having pride in your job, is now something to avoid, to shy away from. Government makes it easy to do, unions make it easy, and I think we do too. After all, we elect these people, and we do so without knowing what they will do for us, just that they aren't as bad as the other guy. Health Care needs to be something to take pride in, not something to pay off political cronies with.
