It keeps long term costs down, while insuring that elderly people are given the respect they deserve. It avoids unnecessary stress & fear, but it also allows for preventive health care. Regular workers, can find differences, that can be easily corrected before they become major health issues. It saves money, over time.

You simply DO NOT PROVIDE the care needed, move on to the next job, so you can attend to as many people as possible. So what if the patient suffers, it isn't about caring for them, but about making a profit, right VIHA? Beacon Community Services? After all, one has to pay for those high priced CEO's somehow.

The first step is to not think of it as a business, or that it must make a profit. There are hidden benefits, that you just can't put a price on. Yet we seem to do just that, by not insuring that in home care, is qualified. We need to stop hiding our heads, but actually address the issue of senior care, to help ease the financial strain on the system. It is just common sense.
