However they aren't, and many can't even communicate in English, so we put our Seniors at huge risk. It prevents those who care, from adapting situations, because they are uncertain if any qualified help will be coming later, or if the person scheduled to show up, will be who does show up. Uncertainty creates stress, creates a risk to the safety of the Patient. That is a fact, no matter how Beacon Community Services and VIHA want to spin it.

To spend a lifetime so that when it all is ending, you are as alone as when you were first born. Your mind is weak, your body even weaker, and for what? When you see someone dying slowly, in pain, you have to wonder, what is the whole point of it all? Then too, you have to wonder, how can so many be so callous about it all.

Simple ability to look up a patient's name, to ascertain why they called in the first place is too much for their Sunday staff. They just can't type, or maybe it is they can't read? Certainly isn't the computer, but hell, that's what they'll blame. Another screw up that helps quicken Mom's end. Like she needs more stress, more uncertainty in her life? According to BCS she does, which is why they are willing to provide that added stress, those added worries, when they should be concerned about helping her avoid them. Listening VIHA?

I am opposed to businesses like Beacon Community Services and VIHA that put profits before caring for elderly people. They deserve better, simply because they are old. BCS & VIHA should be ashamed at how they allow anyone to come in, and help old people, without insuring they are properly and fully trained for the task. It is wrong of them, to add to an old person's stress and daily pain, simply so they can pocket a few extra bucks.

With her loss of focus, her going in and out of reality, it means I have to stay home. No more shopping even, and that just seems to be too much. Yet it is what one has to do, to keep her safe, to prevent accidents. Is it wrong to resent it? Is this God's grand design, to punish us or make life difficult and painful for some, while making it a cakewalk for others?
