They are PATIENTS who need specialized care, and not people whose only concern is to move onto the next, or to get as many hours in as possible for a big paycheck. It is about CARING and about being RESPONSIBLE. It is also about having compassion, along with common sense.

From personal experience, I'd say it is not only limited, but incomplete. Familiarity with equipment seems incomplete, at best, and certainly how to do the basics, like lifting, is hit and miss with many, so called, support workers. Do these private firms actually test their employees, or are they so desperate for staff, they take things on blind trust?
